Mr Musyoka said experts are investigating the mysterious death of the Makueni Senator and told Kenyans to remain calm and wait for the report.
"Let us desist from the rumours going round. I want to urge you to instead focus on giving our departed friend a decent burial that we can afford and then we shall get to the bottom of the matter later,” he said.
He said Mr Kilonzo’s sudden death has brought a lot of sadness to the Wiper party, the larger Cord grouping and the nation.
“Let me appeal to all friends from the counties of Machakos, Kitui and Makueni to come out on Thursday and show the love we had for our friend,” he said.
Mr Musyoka was speaking during a fundraising to cater for the burial expenses at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi Monday evening.
A total of Sh13,250,000 was raised with MPs contributing Sh2 million while Senators contributed Sh1million.
Businessman Peter Muthoka gave Sh1million while former Prime Minister Raila Odinga contributed Sh600,000.
Former MP Stanley Githunguri contributed Sh300,000 while professionals from Makueni County gave Sh1million.
A funeral mass is slated for Wednesday at the Baptist Church in Nairobi at 10am. Viewing of the body will begin at 2pm.
The funeral service will be held at Kima Secondary School before Mr Kilonzo is interred at his ancestral home in Mbooni Thursday.
Only invited guests will be allowed next to the burial site as the home is said to be small and can only accommodate about 500 people.
